Hi and welcome to the 41st National Truck-In® blog spot!
The members and friends of the National Truck-In Board are excited
at this opportunity to continue the tradition of hosting “The Nation’s Premier
Van Event ™. We have some fun things planned for you!
Wednesday will be very busy with a FREE Vanners night in.
“Virtual” is working on a return trip to National Drags. (Very cool) We
are going to do a Casino crawl. We are asking clubs and councils to bring
a casino game. We will provide the “Vanner Money”! Vanner’s can go
from Casino to Casino and play. At about 11 PM we will have an auction so
you can spend the “Vanner Money” you won. Please let us know if you are
interested in bringing a game.
The van show will be on Friday, but don’t worry if you are not
going to be able to make it to the event until Friday night. Your van can
be judged Saturday by the same judges that judged your class the day before.
We are having a public show on Saturday. The public will be judging
this show.
So why are we returning to Old Washington, Ohio so soon after
“Van’s On the Run” held it there? The National Truck-In Board reviews
bids to host the National Truck-In each year. We did not have a viable
bid for the Nat’s for 2013 and no groups in Ohio objected to the National
Truck-In Board looking for a "ready to work" site within their state.
All other territories had a potential for hosts' plans being stepped on,
and that is not what we are about. We encourage groups who are
interested, to prepare a bid. And we can provide guidelines to help your
bid be a successful one.
Old Washington is a great site and we hope that you can join us
for another great event!
